If you use Microsoft Excel, I have prepared a spread sheet to project the number of Israelites that existed by the time the book of Ezra was recorded.
The blue text below represents a constant. It is information from the scriptures.
You can do nothing here to change this page, but when you go to the spread sheet you can enter your own variables in CELL B.
You can only change the variables marked in red below, but in the spread sheet instead of saying A4 it says VAR.
You enter the variables in the cell to the right of the cells marked VAR.. variable.
i.e. If you guess the average life expectancy in the book of numbers was 50 you would type 50 in the Cell B5.
I have write protected the cells and you can only change the numbers in the B column where it is a variable.

Israelites who remained in the 127 provinces and never returned to Israel B54-B55 |
The math principals are a constant. The outcome of the projection could only be altered by my prejudice, that is why invite any one to put their own variables in the fields.
The first variable field will look like this
|
A .. |
B |
C |
|
VAR |
50 |
Average life expectancy |
To the right of VAR you add your variables. The numbers in the variable fields now are my guess. The object is for you to correct my numbers you think are in error.
Before you go to the spread sheet, here is the information you must look up to enter into the variable fields.
B4 When the Israelites left Egypt, what is your guess of the average life expectancy?
B10 What % of the Israelite population were females?
B16 Joseph was already in Egypt with his wife Asenath. His father and 11 brothers followed. What is your guess of the number of wives the other 11 princes of Israel brought with them.
B22 The average number of years it takes a female to be born and produce her last child.
B34 The number of males over 20 years old from the tribe of Judah when the 11 princes of Israel went into Egypt.
B44 The number of years between the time the Israelites were counted in the book of Numbers to the time the book of 2 Samuel was written.
B53 The number of years between the time the Israelites were counted in the book of Numbers until the time the book of Ezra was written.
Take me to the spread sheet I have my variables ready
