Convert to What?

To convert you could change from what you did not do before to begin doing something new or you could convert by changing from what you were doing, to doing something else... Convert means change.

When people say they convert to Judaism, what action is changed?

Pretending like Judaism is found in the information in the Tanach (Old Testament), there are only three kinds of information in the scriptures... YES there is a whole lot of information in the scriptures but there are only 3 kinds of information.
Historic accounts: No one could do any thing to change history.
Prophecy: No one (unless they can make God obey them) can change the things to come in prophecy.
Instructions, statues, ordinances, commands ... If Judaism is found in the scriptures, there is ONLY one possible kind of CONVERSION --> TO --> JUDAISM and the only possible action any one could take in that conversion is to do what is commanded ... to keep the will of God as stated in the scriptures.

Judaism is either the instructions written in the scriptures or it is what ever any one calling themselves a Rabbi declares it to be. (Blabbism)
* If some law does not belong to you because you do not live in Israel, then every one who does not live in Israel, can subtract all of those laws from their "613".
* If some law does not apply because "times" have changed, then every one can subtract all of those voided laws from their "613"
* If some laws no longer apply because they conflict with secular laws, then every one can subtract all of those voided laws from their "613"
What ever excuse you use actual or concocted as to why you do not keep the laws of Moses, one thing is a fact, for what ever reason you do not keep the laws of Moses, that establishes the fact that YOU DO NOT KEEP THE LAWS OF MOSES.
If Judaism is contained in the Tanach, then the ONLY possible thing you could do to convert is to follow the instructions contained therein. If you mock the commands of the Tanach, what else could you mean by Torah Observant, converting to Judaism.. you could only mean you are ignorant of a blatant liar.

People take on endless causes by choice in order to accomplish some thing.
Vegetarian
Save the trees
Tracking released child molesters.
Serving the will of some gods or a God.
In a religious conversion the object is to serve God/gods in order to accomplish some after death reward.
The cause of false religious leaders is to make idiots believe they are serving a god, so they will receive a reward after death, and the con's actual goal is to reap favors and finical gain for themselves.

After a religion or a cult is established, the children of established members to not convert in the sense of changing from one religion to another. They convert from not keep those practices, to start keeping them.
People who once followed one religion and change to another, convert and start keeping the practices of the other religion.
If conditioned from birth or by conversion those who participate in that religion follow the outlines which define that religion.

***

If it is a religious conversion to serve the will of God/a god, then:
* You find the will of that God/god in the original text it was recorded in.
* You find some man who speaks for that God/god.
* That God/god comes to your house and chats with you on the couch.

If the will of your God/god is given to you through the mouth of a man then which man will be your prophet, when they can not agree with each other.. to the extent of verbal fights, physical assaults and even murder of those who disagree with them.

If you serve a God/god that keep changes his mind, you are not serving a God/god, you are serving an idiot.

Here we will pretend that Judaism is keeping the will of God as outlined in the instructions of Moses.
Convert to begin doing some thing you never did before.. or to change what you did do, to some thing you never done before.

No matter if you are a convert or you are already a member from birth ... assuming it is your intent to serve the God of Moses, let's see what is involved in your religion that you think is serving the will of God.

* You read the accounts of the Tanach / Old Testament. Christians and Muslims do that.
* If you converted from another religion, you changed the man/woman who you give your money to.
* You use another label to identify yourself.
Is this what you have converted to?

Assuming the commandments, laws, statues, ordinances given to the Israelites through Moses, is the will of God, then we can look at the Torah and find the will of God.
If it is your Blabbi you worship, then you will serve his/her will. If you profess to serve the will of God and if that will is found in the Torah, we can look there to see what it is.
This is not rocket science, you just need the mental capacity of a kid in grade school.
When an authority tells you to do something, if you serve that authority you will do it. When an authority tells you NOT to do something, if you serve that authority, you will NOT do that thing.
A vegetarian who eats meat.
A save the trees member who is a lumber jack
Member of a watch group tracking released child molesters (who molests children themselves)
Those who make blatant mockeries of the causes they claim to stand for are but lying hypocrites who are filled with vile contempt. These sick hypocrites are worthy of the scorn of society, of the whole world.

Reading a book and doing the opposite things as the instructions:
Is not converting to the instructions
It is not abiding by those instructions
It is not keeping those instructions
If you were born into a group or convert / join a group who studies a book that you all mock, the ONLY CONVERSION YOU HAVE MADE is joining a cult of hypocrites who make a mockery of the instructions of the book they study.
If "following Judaism" .. If "being Torah observant" is mocking the commands, statutes, laws given by Moses, and spiting in the face of the author of the instructions is the description of a Jew, then indeed, Jews they are.
This is not my opinion of what those instructions, commands, statutes, laws are ... stick with me I will show them to you and you can decide for yourself.

Those who profess to follow "Judaism" ... Those who spend their lives reading a book they have no intentions to abide by ... are like these fitness fanatics...
We have taken courses on fitness and diet for years. We have daily devotions to reading our diet books.

While we lay in bed reading diet and exercise books between commercials and eating 2 pounds of pies, pizza and drink diet pop to keep from getting fat.. We are EXACTLY like the Blabbites who spend their lives reading and talking about the book of instructions that they will NEVER follow.
What you mean you follow Judaism.. Oh I see, you mean you spend your lives studying the book of commandments that you mock.

Torah Observant = duh, do you mean holding the torah in your left hand reading it, while pulling the pages out with your right hand and wiping  with it?

Why do you think they prefer the torah in rolls like toilet paper?  Other than read Torah instructions they moon, the only other purpose they could have for the Torah is to wipe with.
